The same story as the anime series but in a faster pace combined with some of the best animation i have ever seen.
So you definitely shouldn't be missing this one. Some of the qualifying factors taken into consideration for a series being deemed great are, entertainment value, popularity, lasting appeal, quality of writing, originality and significance to the medium of anime. It has a tremendously creepy atmosphere, which should satisfy fans of japanese horror. These two series are in my all time favorite television series.
